The scion of the late movie maker, Ade Afolayan aka Adelove, Kunle Afolayan who is a filmmaker himself has just voiced what a lot of his fans may not wish to hear.

The workaholic filmmaker said he is afraid he may no live long due to his obsession with film making. Just coming off the set of his soon-to-be-released epic movie, ‘October 1’, the workaholic filmmaker took to Facebook to post his thoughts.

  Popular comedian Bovi Ugboma and his wife Christabel welcomed a baby last night September 25th (his birthday) at 8:47pm. The little girl is their second child. Nice!

U.S. Department of State announces Nigeria is Ineligible for the 2015 Visa Lottery!

 

It's been announced that Nigerian natives are not eligible for DV-2015. According to the document outlining instructions for the 2015 Diversity Immigrant Visa Program (DV-2015), Nigeria as well as 18 other countries are not eligible because more than 50,000 natives of these countries immigrated to the United States in the previous five (5) years.

In line with its regulations which state that the DV lottery program is targeted at countries with historically low rates of immigration to the United States, Nigeria is therefore not eligible for 2015.

Other countries not eligible include Bangladesh, Brazil, Canada, China (mainland-born), Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Haiti, India, Jamaica, Mexico, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, South Korea, United Kingdom (except Northern Ireland) and its dependent territories, and Vietnam.

Governor of Borno State pledges N3.5m to family of Police Brutality.

 

Heavy-handed tactics of the police against voluntary youths vanguards, popularly known as civilian JTF has been protested against by the youths who blocked the convoy of Governor Kashim Shettima in Maiduguri on Saturday.

Prior to this development, a policeman had allegedly shot to death a member of the vanguard whose peers insisted committed no offence.

Gov. Shettima therefore pledged the payment of N3.5  million compensation to the family of the deceased.
Hausa Service of the Voice of America (VOA), reported Sunday morning that Shettima was part of the congregation at the funeral of the young man on Sunday.

In addition, the governor, who addressed the youths urged them to be patient, and promised to provide a home for the family of the victim.
